Our methodology: project communication

To best respond to the needs of its clients, Sennse uses a working method that corresponds to the challenges of large-scale territorial projects: project communication.

Like any project management approach, project communication covers five dimensions:

  1. A functional dimension: communications provides a response to an established need.
  2. A technical dimension: communications must respect specifications (ID guidelines, corporate culture, etc.) and implementation constraints (conventional media, non-conventional media, ad hoc media, etc.).
  3. An organizational dimension: communications must respect pre-established modes of operation (political management of the project or roles of the different actors in the framework of a multi-partnership project).
  4. A temporal dimension: managing the planning and respecting deadlines (legal time constraints for institutions or companies’ decision-making processes, for example).
  5. An economic dimension while strictly respecting the agreed budget and the various budget lines defined by the public authorities.

This methodology is implemented through seven major steps:

  1.  Creation of a dedicated team within the agency, including at least one consultant and one consultant / project manager. These resources are allocated primarily to handle the assignment.
  2. The drafting of a strategic plan submitted to the contracting authority and validated by it. The strategic outline sets out the orientations of the proposed communications and the different objectives.
  3. The setting up of a Communications Steering Committee including elected decision-makers, technical services and, if required, expert service providers. The Steering Committee validates and verifies the correct application of the strategic plan.
  4. The establishment of a Technical Committee which validates the operational communications plan presented by the agency and the conformity of the various deliverables.
  5. A project schedule and the various deadlines shared by the two committees thanks to permanent access to information on ongoing tasks, deadlines for implementation and resources allocated.
  6. The day-to-day management of the budget (human resources and technical costs) via dedicated software, accessible to the account director and consultant / project manager, thus allowing total control of costs.
  7. Final feedback on experience given to the client in the form of a report at the end of the project.
